Hotel Jezero

You can’t beat the location of this hotel, directly overlooking Lake Bohinj, its little bridge and its medieval church. In the evenings we loved sitting on the spacious balcony of our room, watching the clouds go pink over the Julian Alps. From our balcony we could even see a bit of Mt Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and breakfast, which was included in our rate, was excellent. Should also mention that the buffet dinner, at 25 euros a head including drinks, was very good value. The hotel also had a heated pool and garden, which made a pleasant change from swimming in the lake. The other thing I would stress is that Lake Bohinj is a much pleasanter and more relaxed destination than the very touristy and overcrowded Lake Bled.

Overall, this was a pretty good experience. We booked a double room with half board. Internet worked well. On request, we were provided with hot water and cups as there was no kettle in the room, which is common in Europe. The breakfast and dinner were quite substantial with the evening dinner including drinks. We thought the evening meal was a bit ‘canteenish’ but was still okay. Location is nice and close to the lake and there was ample free parking on site.

Amazing location especially if you are lucky enough to get room 314 on top floor with corner balcony with fantastic view of lake. katja the receptionist was lovely. You can go straight out, bathe in lake and return easily. Just opposite paddleboard hire and in centre of everything. Parking included.

The location is perfect to start hikes and explore the surrounding area. The lake is beautiful and the breakfast buffet has a lot to offer. The single rooms are quite tiny, but enough room for a shorter stay / when you're out all day anyways. The staff was always friendly and accommodating.

The view was amazing from the room, The staff were really kind and helpful The food was really good too both the breakfast and buffet dinner. The whole place is the best place to rest as it is very silent and noone is disturbing you. At night if you open the window you could even hear The rumbling of the lake and it is truly amazing there is not too much traffic at night so even that does not bother you. All in all i would recoomend this place to everyone who wish to have a bit of a peace in their life also i would recomennd to take at least 5 nights there as less would not be enough. We will surely visit once again in the future. Thank you for having us Best Regards
